Chennai, January 9, 2023: Giving a strong boost to promote and uplift the folk culture of TamilNadu, Phoenix Marketcity hosted GrammiyaKalaivizha, an annual fest by Ranidropps CharityFoundationcomprisingofaseriesoffolkactivitiesforstudentsfromshelterhomesandcommunities.LegendarymusiccomposerandOscarwinner,A.RRahman’sisterA.R.Raihanawhoisthefoundation’sGoodwillAmbassadorcheeredtheartistswithhermotivatingwords.Notableplayback singers and folk artists KedakuzhiMariammal, Antony Dasan, MaghizhiniManimaram,Mahalingam, Mathichiyam Bala and others were also present for this annual communal Pongalfest. More than 250 kids and elders from various shelter homes and communities participatedwithaninterestingline-upoffolkactivitieslikeKiliJoshiam,KaiRaegai,JavvuMittai,Pot-making,Karagattam,Oyilattam,PoikaalKudhirai,Rattinamandotherlive Pongalperformances.
