
Inspiring Young Minds: Walkaroo Foundation Implements Project Vinveli Jointly with Rotary E-club of Metro Dynamix and Open Space Foundation
Coimbatore, July 19, 2024: Walkaroo Foundation, in collaboration with Rotary E-club of Metro Dynamix and Open Space Foundation, announced the implementation of Project Vinveli in six Panchayat Union Middle Schools in the Madukkarai Education Block. Project Vinveli is a flagship initiative of Rotary E-club of Metro Dynamix in partnership with Open Space Foundation aimed at promoting STEM education through hands-on astronomy experiences for school students. The telescope construction workshop and yearlong activities planned for the six schools, as part of this project, was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, District Collector, Thiru. Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS on July 19th, 2024 at Panchayat Union Primary School, Malumichampatty. Mr. Rajesh Mathew Kurian, Director, Walkaroo International Pvt. Ltd also graced the occasion along with dignitaries from Rotary district 3201.
The telescope construction workshop marked the beginning of an exciting journey for students and educators alike, as participants engaged in constructing telescopes under expert guidance, learning practical skills while exploring the principles of optics and astronomy. Project Vinveli will offer a diverse range of activities to deepen students’ understanding of astronomy, including stargazing sessions, interactive lectures by astronomy experts, and the like. The initiative aims not only to impart theoretical knowledge but also nurture a genuine interest in STEM subjects among students, fostering a culture of curiosity, exploration, and innovation.
