நாட்டின் படைப்பாற்றல் பொருளாதாரத்தை வலுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் செயல்படும் லாப நோக்கற்ற அமைப்பான இந்திய ஊடகம், பொழுதுபோக்கு மற்றும் கேமிங் கவுன்சில் (Indian Council for Media, Entertainment & Gaming – ICMEG) அமைப்பின் தமிழ்நாடு கிளை, சென்னையில் உள்ள ஐஐடிஎம் ரிசர்ச் பார்க்கில் (IITM Research Park) தொடங்கப்பட்டது. ஐசிஎம்ஈஜி சென்னை கிளை தொடக்க விழாவில், தமிழ்நாடு செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு சங்கம் (Tamil Nadu AI Association – TNAIA) மற்றும் ஐசிஎம்ஈஜி இடையேயான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தமும் (MoU) கையெழுத்தானது.
இத்துறையின் மிக முக்கிய மையங்களில் ஒன்றான தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள படைப்பாளிகள் மற்றும் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கான ஒரு முக்கிய மைல்கல்லாக இந்தத் தொடக்க விழா அமைந்தது. தமிழ்நாடு செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு சங்கத்துடன் இணைந்து, முன்னணி நிறுவனங்களான புரொடியூசர்பஜார் (ProducerBazaar) மற்றும் ஐபி கிளைம்ப் (IP Climb) ஆகியவற்றின் ஆதரவோடு இந்நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது.
கொள்கைசார் ஆதரவு (Policy advocacy), அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமை (IP) பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் இத்துறையின் மாறிவரும் சூழலுக்கு ஏற்ப திறன்களை மேம்படுத்துதல் ஆகியவற்றில் இணைந்து செயல்படும் நோக்கில், தமிழ்நாடு தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்தின் முக்கிய நிர்வாகிகள் மற்றும் உறுப்பினர்கள் இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் பங்கேற்றனர்.
வேகமாக வளர்ந்து வரும் டிஜிட்டல் சூழலைத் தமிழ் தயாரிப்பாளர்களும் படைப்பாளிகளும் எவ்வாறு எதிர்கொள்வது என்பதற்கான ஆலோசனைகளை வழங்கும் நோக்கில், எதிர்காலம் சார்ந்த பல கலந்துரையாடல்கள் இந்நிகழ்வில் நடைபெற்றன. உள்ளடக்கத் தயாரிப்பில் செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவின் பங்கு, வெர்டிகல் மற்றும் குறு வடிவ (Short-form) உள்ளடக்கங்களின் வளர்ச்சி, அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமை (IP Rights) & உரிமைகள் மேலாண்மை, மற்றும் புதிய வருவாய் ஈட்டும் வழிகள் (Monetisation pathways) ஆகிய முக்கியத் தலைப்புகளில் விவாதங்கள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டன.

தமிழ் சினிமாவின் உலகளாவிய எல்லைகளை விரிவுபடுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட எதிர்கால கூட்டுத் திட்டங்கள் குறித்து, தயாரிப்பாளர்களும் தொழில்நுட்ப வல்லுநர்களும் இடையேயான பயனுள்ள கருத்து பரிமாற்றங்களுடன் இந்நிகழ்ச்சி இனிதே நிறைவடைந்தது.

Chennai:
The Indian Council for Media, Entertainment & Gaming (ICMEG), a premier non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening India’s creative economy, officially launched its Tamil Nadu Chapter at IITM Research Park, Chennai. The event also saw the signing of an MoU between ICMEG and Tamil Nadu AI Association.
The launch event brought together key executives and members of the Tamil Film Producers Council to discuss, deliberate and collaborate on vertical cinema, micro dramas, policy advocacy, intellectual property (IP) protection, and skill development tailored to the region’s booming media landscape.
Organised in partnership with the Tamil Nadu AI Association (TNAIA), and supported by industry pioneers ProducerBazaar and IP Climb, the event marked a significant milestone for creators in one of India’s most vital entertainment hubs.
The launch featured a series of forward-looking panel discussions aimed at equipping Tamil producers and creators with the strategies needed to navigate a rapidly changing digital ecosystem. Artificial Intelligence in Production, the rise of short-form and vertical content, IP Rights & management, and new revenue models were the key topics of discussion.
The discussions featured insights from media veterans, broadcasting heads, and creative professionals, including Mr. Sai Krishna, Vice President – Eenadu Television Pvt Ltd; Mr. Surya N, Content Head – SUN NXT; Dr. Afrose Fathima, Executive Producer – Zee Bullet; Mr. Rajan Ethiraja, Chief Business Officer (CBO) – Phantom Media Group; Ms. Kavitha Pandian, Media Director and Producer – Vels Film International Ltd; and Mr. J Lakshman, Director & Cinematographer – MFI. The panels were moderated by Mr. Venkatesh Rajendran, Founder – TNAIA Council and GK Tirunavukarasu, Founder and CEO – FipChain Technology Pvt Ltd.
The launch of the ICMEG Tamil Nadu Chapter received overwhelming support from leading corporate and media heavyweights. Key stakeholders backing the initiative include Zee Bullet, SUN NXT, ETV Win, ETV, PhantomFX, and Vels Film International Ltd.
“Tamil Nadu stands at the forefront of media innovation and cultural storytelling in India,” noted Venkatesh Rajendran, Founder – TNAIA Council, who will head the Tamil Nadu Chapter of ICMEG.
