தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, மலையாளம் மற்றும் கன்னடம் ஆகிய நான்கு முக்கிய தென்னிந்திய மொழிகளின் தொலைக்காட்சி மற்றும் டிஜிட்டல் துறைகளில் செயல்பட்டு வந்த அமைப்புகள் தற்போது ஒரே குடையின் கீழ் இணைந்துள்ளன. இதன் மூலம், தென்னிந்திய தயாரிப்பாளர்களின் நலன்களுக்கான ஒற்றுமை மிக்க மற்றும் வலிமை வாய்ந்த அமைப்பு உருவாகியுள்ளது.

தொலைக்காட்சி துறையில் நீண்டகாலமாக நிலவி வரும் பல்வேறு பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு ஒருங்கிணைந்த தீர்வு காண்பது, கலைஞர்களின் கால்ஷீட் மற்றும் பணிநேரங்களை முறைப்படுத்துவது, தயாரிப்பாளர்களின் முதலீடுகளைப் பாதுகாப்பது மற்றும் தென்னிந்திய தொலைக்காட்சி மற்றும் டிஜிட்டல் துறைகளுக்கு இடையிலான ஒற்றுமையை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்துவது ஆகியவை இந்த புதிய சங்கத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கங்களாகும்.

இந்த புதிய கவுன்சிலின் நிர்வாகக் குழுவின் தலைவராக தெலுங்கு தொலைக்காட்சி துறையைச் சேர்ந்த பிரசாத் செயல்படுவார். துணைத் தலைவர்களாக தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த உதயசங்கர், கன்னட துறையைச் சேர்ந்த அரவிந்த் மற்றும் கேரளாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஜெயக்குமார் ஆகியோர் பொறுப்பேற்றுள்ளனர். ராஜவேலு பொதுச் செயலாளராக செயல்படுவார். தமிழக சங்கத்தின் கெளரவத் தலைவர் ராதிகா சரத்குமார் புதிய கூட்டமைப்பை தொடங்கி வைத்தார். சத்யஜோதி டி.ஜி. தியாகராஜன் மற்றொரு கெளரவத் தலைவர் ஆவார்.

தென்னிந்தியாவின் நான்கு முக்கிய மொழித் தொலைக்காட்சி மற்றும் டிஜிட்டல் துறைகள் ஒரே அமைப்பின் கீழ் இணைந்திருப்பது, பிராந்திய பொழுதுபோக்குத் துறையின் ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் எதிர்கால வளர்ச்சிக்கான முக்கியமான முன்னெடுப்பாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

In a landmark collaborative initiative, key industry bodies across the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada entertainment sectors have officially come together under a unified umbrella to form the Television and OTT Producers Council of South.

This historic multi-language association brings together separate regional unions across four major South Indian television and digital hubs to operate under a single collective organisation, establishing a powerful shared voice for regional content creators.

The primary objective of the newly formed Council is to resolve widespread industry issues, standardise artist scheduling, safeguard production investments, and foster stronger unity across the South Indian digital and television landscape. By establishing a structured cross-industry framework, the association aims to prevent overlapping issues that previously stalled ongoing productions and created financial strain for producers. Moving forward, the organisation will serve as a supportive bridge between actors, technicians, and production houses, ensuring smooth, regulated and transparent operations across state borders.

The executive board is led by President Prasad from Telugu, alongside Vice Presidents representing Udhayashankar from Tamil, Aravind from Kannada and Jayakumar from Kerala. Rajavelu will be the General Secretary. Radikaa Sarathkumar, the honorary president of the Tamil Nadu association, inaugurated the new Council in Chennai. Sathya Jyothi T.G. Thyagarajan is the other honorary president.

Together, this unified leadership panel marks a pivotal step towards protecting producer interests, elevating production standards, and driving sustainable growth for the South Indian entertainment industry.
