
The KCP Engineers,a leading construction company in Coimbatore is
implementing various welfare measures for poor and downtrodden people. The
firm also provides various financial assistance including renovation of
Anganwadi, educational assistance fund, medical camps for school students,
improving basic amenities for Scheduled Caste people and flood relief
measures.
The firm has extended its helping hand for Covid19 relief measures by
giving Rs 51 lakh for state government. The managing director of KCP
Engineers, K Chandra Prakash handed over the amount to the S P Velumani,
Minister of Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation
of Special Programme. He also handed over Rs 10 lakh worth sanitary
spraying machines to Coimbatore corporation.
Speaking on the initiative, Managing Director of KCP Engineers, K Chandra
Prakash said, “Due to nationwide lockdown to contain spreading of corona
virus, poor people and daily wage workers stay at home. Following job loss,
income loss has increased. There is compulsory situation to support for
providing fundamental need of food and basic requirements. We are
intensifying welfare measures to improve livelihood of people. We are
implementing various measures now including, shelter for migrant workers,
providing food, clothing and medicines, educational assistance for children
of workers community, who lost income opportunity and providing required
equipments for sanitary workers.”
According to him, in addition to the welfare measures, he gave away fund to
the state government for corona relief measures.
“All the entrepreneurs, MSME industries and traders should come forward to
donate for corona relief measures, which will reduce burdern for poor
people,” he noted.
