‘SPBக்குஇசைஅஞ்சலி’(SPBkku Isai Anjali), a two-day special audio Chatroom session with famous Tamil singers reached out to 187K audiences
September 29, 2021: The much-awaited two-day Tamil audio chatroom, SPBக்குஇசைஅஞ்சலி(SPBkku Isai Anjali), to pay tribute to the singing legend, SP Balasubramaniam (SPB), by leading Tamil singers, Sujatha Mohan, Haricharan, Ranjith Govind, Unnikrishnan, Srinivas, Sathya Prakash, Shranya Srinivas, Saindhavi, Rahil Nambair and Haripriya turned out to be one of the biggest live sessions witnessing more than 1.85 lakh audience in total. The sessions were hosted live on ShareChat, leading Indian social media platform with over 180 million monthly active users, through its Audio Chatroom.
The sessions took place on 25th and 26th September where top Tamil singers joined the audio chatroom and paid tribute to the legendary singer, SP Balasubramaniam. Unnikrishnan, Sujatha Mohan, Ranjith Govind, Haripriya and Haricharan kick started the session on the first day and Srinivas, Sathya Prakash, Saindhavi, Rahil Nambair, and Shranya Srinivas conducted the session the next day.
Both the sessions commenced with the singers interacting with the audience. The singers shared their experience of working with SP Balasubramaniam, how he inspired them. Some of them reminisced about how they were in awe of SP Balasubramaniam for being a single take artist and applauded his dedication towards his work. They shared interesting anecdotes from the shows they did with him.
They celebrated the singing legend by recreating his famous songs invoking a feeling of nostalgia and happiness in the chatroom while reliving the fond memories they had with SPB. The two sessions had a cumulative audience of over 1,87,000. During the two sessions, over 40,000 comments poured in with the ShareChat community showering their appreciations, reactions and requests for the singers.
