Chennai: We are delighted to share that our Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr A.S. Ganesan, has been honoured with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).
This prestigious accolade, conferred by the Royal College of Physicians in London, recognises his exceptional contributions to healthcare.
Our Chancellor’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his ongoing commitment to improving health standards have profoundly impacted local and regional healthcare systems. His life and work are defined by a long-standing commitment to the communities in Karaikal, Puducherry, Salem, and Chennai, where VMRF institutes have a significant presence.
The FRCP is one of the most prestigious honours in the field of medicine. Being a Fellow of the RCP means joining a distinguished community of consultants who have not only contributed significantly to medicine but also use their amplified voices to shape the future of healthcare. Members of this fellowship are part of an influential and diverse community of change-makers. The Royal College of Physicians, London, extends the legacy of excellence upheld since its establishment in 1518.
This recognition marks our Chancellor as one of the very few Chancellors of any deemed university in India to hold this distinction. Thus, his recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a moment of pride for the entire VMRF community.
While extending our heartfelt congratulations to our beloved Chancellor, the VMRF community also pledges to uphold similar standards of medical excellence as demonstrated through his inspiring leadership.
