VELAMMAL’S PRAGGNANANDHA PROVES IT AGAIN AT THE AIRTHINGS MASTERS 2022
Young Grandmaster R. Praggnanandhaa, Class 11 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus astounded World No. 1 Magnus Carlsen at the Airthings Masters 2022 in the eighth round of the online rapid chess tournament with a time control of 15+10 on 21st February, 2022.
This stupendous win came up with black pieces in 39 moves halting Carlsen’s run of three straight win making Praggnanandhaa the third Indian to beat Magnus .
