VELAMMAL EXCELS IN CHESS!
GrandMaster R Praggnanandhaa, class 11 of Velammal Main School Mogappair Campus, once again portrayed his historic performance by winning the prestigious Kvika Reykjavik Open Chess-2022 with 7.5 points from nine rounds held at Iceland recently and won a prize amount of 5000 euro.
Praggnanandhaa defeated GM D Gukesh in the final round and emerged as the sole winner. He gained an ELO Rating -2624 and 13.2 ELO points from the triumph.
