VELAMMAL STUDENT SHINES IN KARATE AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL
Miss S Nithya , Std 10 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus participated in the 2nd SHURI – TO CHAMPIONSHIP and secured the Second position in the (U-15) Nunchaku Kata category held at YMCA Stadium, Nandhanam, Chennai recently.
She excelled in Nunchaku Kata representing Tamilnadu at the National Level Karate & Kobudo Tournament . Nunchaku Kata is the martial art using weapon consisting of two sticks connected with short chain at their end.
This tourney was hosted by Okinawa SHURI -TO Karate & Kobudo Association of India, wherein Karatekas from various schools across India participated.
